Gomez Preserve is another of Martin County’s hidden gems tucked away down past the end of Gomez Road. Visitors can park to the south at Peck Lake Park or to the north at Seabranch Preserve State Park. From there, visitors can get to the site by hiking or biking along the East Coast Greenway. At Gomez, the half mile nature trail loops around and brings you through towering cabbage palms and native slash pines. If you are feeling energetic you can exercise at any of the workout stations along the trail. It is a great place to have lunch under the thatched palmetto fronds of the Chikee- a traditional structure unique to the native Seminole Tribe of Florida.

Please follow Leave No Trace and keep our natural areas in Martin County healthy, clean, and enjoyable for everyone.
