This hidden gem is just down the road from Halpatiokee Park and lies along the South Fork of the St. Lucie River. The trail is just a quarter mile out to a kayak launch and dock where you can sit and rest on the banks of the St. Lucie River. This unique black water river holds stories of the past with its winding waters and arching trees covered in Spanish moss. Look out for herons and osprey and even a manatee swimming by.
