Kitching Creek Preserve is a 51-acre nature area that is a great example of restored wetlands. The one mile natural trail loops around wetland marsh and a lake where you can view a diversity of native and migratory birds as well as native Florida wildlife such as otters and alligators. Half way around the loop is a peninsula that jets out into the lake where you can have a lunch or a rest on a picnic table. And don’t forget to look up as you may see any of our raptors flying above such as bald eagles or red shouldered hawks.
